WordPress is no longer the best option for publishing

The internet is shifting back toward content. Substack and Medium are exploding because people want long form articles again. At the same time, short form video on platforms like TikTok and YouTube Shorts is growing faster than ever. But WordPress has been moving in a completely different direction. Instead of focusing on writing, it has focused on page builders and block layouts that mostly produce static brochure style sites.
